What is uss hampton?

USS Hampton (SSN-767) is a United States Navy Los Angeles-class attack submarine. Commissioned in 1993, USS Hampton is named after the city of Hampton, Virginia and is the third vessel to bear this name. With a length of 360 feet and a displacement of 6,900 tons, USS Hampton is equipped with advanced sonar systems and torpedoes, providing the capability to conduct anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface ship warfare, and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. The submarine is powered by a nuclear reactor, providing an operational range of over 30 years without the need to refuel. USS Hampton has been awarded various commendations and honors for its service, including the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation and the Navy Battle "E" Ribbon.
